Have your say on Bayside’s newest playground designs
Our Bayside Buccaneer Playground Testers have followed the clues on our treasure map and told us how to make the next round of Bayside’s playgrounds fun and exciting. The playground designers have used the young pirates’ advice to create some amazing concept designs for six new playgrounds. Read the feedback in the Community engagement summary.
The proposed designs for these six playgrounds are now ready for your feedback:
- Donald MacDonald Reserve
- Hanby Street
- Train Street Reserve
- RG Chisholm Reserve
- Whyte Street
- FG Tricks Reserve
Please note, the Hampton Foreshore Recreation Node has been removed from the Playground Improvement Program as the feedback showed that it is not well used. As part of the relevant foreshore masterplan, a picnic table; seating; mural; and low-level indigenous planting will be added to this space which may increase its patronage.
FG Tricks Reserve has been added to this consultation to progress the upgrade after a pause relating to the VCAT (Victoria Civil and Administrative Tribunal) case concerning the proposed Fern Street Children’s Centre development located next door. The playground is planned to be delivered concurrently with the Fern Street Children’s Centre.
