Statement for Mayor Cr Alex del Porto
On behalf of Bayside City Council, we offer our deepest sympathies to His Majesty King Charles III, The Royal Family, and all those across the world mourning the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Queen Elizabeth II's reign was the longest of any British monarch serving for 70 years.
Queen Elizabeth II visited Victoria 11 times and was received with deep affection by many Australians.
Today, we will fly the Australian flag at half mast to honour her passing and will be guided by the Department of Premier and Cabinet in regards to further protocols.
May she rest in peace.
