Come down to our free weekly drop-in space for activities, snacks, hang outs and connection.
FriYays is Bayside Youth Service's weekly drop-in program, open to any young person aged 10 - 17 years old with a connection to Bayside (live, work, study, play).
What: Drop-in program
When: 3pm to 5:30pm every Friday during the school terms
Where: Peterson Youth Centre, Highett
Cost: Free
What happens at FriYays?
Our drop-in program is an invitation for the young people of Bayside to build connections with others and make Peterson Youth Centre their own. FriYays is a fun, safe and inclusive environment. It's a space to make new friends, hang out, play games, join activities, eat yummy food, and meet our youth team.
Every week, our Youth Services Team offers:
- Afternoon snacks and drinks
- A planned activity
- Music
- An invitation to use our space and our equipment as you like.
Things you can do
- Pool table
- Table tennis
- Basketball arcade
- Nintendo switch on the projector screen
- Computers
- Board games
- Giant outdoor games
- Sports equipment
- Arts and crafts
- Book library
- Comfy Couch hang out
- Quiet spaces
- WIFI
- Peterson Reserve oval.
School holiday pop up @ Sandy Library
During the school holidays, FriYays moves to Sandringham Library for our pop up. Our Youth Services team joins our friends at Sandringham Library to showcase the exciting technology and activities on offer for young people at our Bayside Libraries.
No need to register, come down and hang out for as long as you like.
What: Drop-in program. Games, VR headsets, Nintendo, robotics, board games, and much more.
When: Friday 17 January, 2025. 3pm to 5pm.
Where: Sandringham Library, 2 Waltham Street, Sandringham
Who: Open to young people aged 12 to 18, who have a connection to Bayside (work, live, recreate, study or school)
Cost: Free
Parents/carers: Please provide your emergency details, dietary requirements, and permission for your young person to attend FriYays: Parent/carer permission and emergency contact details form.
