We are Boombox Events
Bayside City Council’s Boombox Events FReeZA committee is a group young people who live, work or study in Bayside and have a passion for event planning and management. If you’re aged 12 – 25 years old and you’re interested in helping us get the freshest events to young people across Bayside, apply or enquire now!
FReeZA is a Victorian Government initiative that supports young Victorians to get involved in their community by planning and running drug, smoke and alcohol-free music and cultural events for other young people.
We’re looking for your expertise, ideas, and passion to design and run some of the best gigs, dance parties and cultural events in the area whilst providing a platform for emerging young artists.
What FReeZA can offer you
- Training in event management and design
- Skill development in all areas of event delivery including promotion and marketing, graphic design, artist booking, AV/Tech experience and leadership opportunities
- Exposure and networking with big names in the industry
- Space to meet young people with similar interests
- Free entry to all Bayside FReeZA events

Eligibility Requirements
- Aged between 12 - 25 years old.
- Live/ work/ study/ recreate in Bayside City Council (Beaumaris, Black Rock, Brighton, Brighton East (part), Cheltenham (part), Hampton, Hampton East, Highett (part) and Sandringham).

When: Thursday between 4:30 - 6:00pm
Where: Peterson Youth Centre, Highett.
Food: Afternoon tea provided.

Young People of Bayside Art Exhibition
Presenting the Young People of Bayside Art Exhibition 2024. Come and see the insightful works of local young people proudly on display at Bayside City Council Corporate Centre.
We need your help determining the winner of the Community Choice award! It's simple:

The theme for this year's exhibition is 'How I See the World,' in which entrants draw on their own experiences, perspectives and imaginations to create a piece which reflects how they see the world.
For over two decades, this exhibition has provided a space for young artists aged 10 to 25 with a connection to Bayside to showcase their skills and creations.
When: open until Thursday 10 October, Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
