2022 Young People of Bayside Art Exhibition

We are back for the 22nd edition of the Young People of Bayside Art Exhibition, showcasing your amazing talents online and in the Bayside City Council Foyer again.

This year's theme is 'The Community Around Us'. Entries were open to young artists aged 10 - 25, with a connection to Bayside (work/live/school/study). Submissions closed on Monday 15 August 2022.

 

What happens after I submit my artwork?

Artwork will be displayed at Bayside City Council Corporate Centre (76 Royal Avenue, Sandringham) between Friday 19 August and Friday 21 October.

Artwork can be collected from Monday 24 October until Friday 28 October during business hours.

Prizes

Primary Category, Middle Years Category and Open Category

The winner of each category (primary, middle and open) will receive a $100 Melbourne Artist Supplies voucher. The runner up in each category will receive a $50 Melbourne Artist Supplies voucher. 

Community choice award

The community choice award will be chosen based on which art piece receives the most likes on the Bayside Council Facebook page. The winner of this award will receive a $50 Melbourne Artist Supplies voucher. 

Committee choice award

The committee choice award is chosen by members of the Bayside City Council FReeZA committee, 'BoomBox events' who chose the theme for the Young People of Bayside Art Exhibition. The winner of this award will receive a $50 Melbourne Artist Supplies voucher.

The Bayside Youth Art Exhibition is a FReeZA event. FReeZA is a Victorian Government initiative that supports young Victorians to get involved in their community by planning and running drug, smoke and alcohol-free music and cultural events for other young people.
